Mr Richard Matt President & CEO

Welcome to the Missouri Alliance for Children and Families (MACF)  website.  The MACF and our partners work with children and families referred primarily from the Children's Division, striving to achieve permanency for the children referred.  We have programs in most areas of the State of Missouri and look forward to working with families and other professionals towards the best interest of these children--BECAUSE EVERY CHILD DESERVES A CHANCE!!

The Missouri Alliance supports community-based alternatives for seriously emotionally disturbed children who are at risk of being placed in or are already in structured residential settings. Through this program, children are given the opportunity to live with families or independently in a permanent setting.

After the family and child are stable in their home or the child is stable in a semi-independent situation, the Alliance transitions the coordination of the care back to the referring agency

Missouri Alliance for Children and Families facilitates planning and service implementation through a family-driven, multi-disciplinary team approach for families with children who have serious emotional problems.

 Greetings and Welcome to 2010!!

Happy New Year to all.  As we enter this new year, our mission here at the Missouri Alliance remains steadfast.  During the last decade, with the assistance of our partners, we stepped up to the plate to provide case management and services for over 4,000 Missouri children.  While many of these children were in residential treatment on referral, many of them were entering foster care for the first time.  We rapidly expanded our kinship care program with the adoption of the Finding Families model, and we modified our foster care program with a new philosophy designed around assisting those children as trauma victims.  We have partnered with George Warren Brown School of Social Work at Washington University to demonstrate the effectiveness of the Multi-Dimensional Treatment Foster Care model.  We are on the cutting edge of child welfare technology, and we will continue to seek our new evidence-based practice and incorporating it into our programs.

We look forward to 2010, and the opportunities those challenges will create—“Because Every Child Deserves a Chance”.

MACF is COA Accredited!!

The Council on Accreditation (COA) conducted a site visit with the Missouri Alliance for Children and Families (MACF) from November 1-4, 2009.  Three peer reviewers were on site to examine all of the agency’s policies and practices and to conduct interviews with staff, foster/adoptive parents and youth served.  The site visit is part of a comprehensive process to determine MACF reaccreditation status.  MACF was originally accredited March 10, 2006 and reaccreditation is required every 4 years.

In January, 2010, we received a letter from Council on Accreditation that we are reaccredited!!  Thank you to all our staff for their hard work in retaining our accreditation.
